Reflection: Choose LIFE...

Today is a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. We remember the millions of little ones lost to abortion since 1973, the tragic anniversary of Roe v Wade in the United States. 

For the sake of Your Name, O Lord, give me life. Psalm 143:11

You formed my inmost being; You knit me in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13

Unborn children are entitled to the unalienable Right to Life endowed by God.

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live, by loving the Lord, your God, heeding His voice, and holding fast to Him. For that will mean life for you, a long life for you to live on the land which the Lord swore He would give to your fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30:19-20

We ask Our Lady of Guadalupe to intercede that we will become a culture of LIFE. For the Protection of all LIFE in the womb, let us pray the Hail Mary three times in gratitude for the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the countless conversions that followed. Let us pray for conversions in our time for a culture of LIFE through the power of the Holy Spirit that all will know a baby is a blessing and a precious gift from God.

What can you do for this cause?
Pray for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.
Fast and offer Penance for the sins against the dignity of life through abortion.

Pope Francis called this year to be an Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. Let us pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for all who have had abortions or been involved in helping someone have an abortion that they will seek Mercy and forgiveness through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Let us pray for the conversion of our government leaders and all who favor, promote, seek and perform abortions. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Protectress of the Unborn, we ask you to intercede for the protection of life in the womb.  Jesus, through the intercession of Saint John Paul II, open hearts and minds to the sanctity of all LIFE.
