Reflection: Jesus is the Light of the world...

I am the Lord, there is no other; I form the light and create the darkness. I, the Lord, do all these things. Let justice descend O heavens, like dew from above, like gentle rain, let the skies drop it down. Let the earth open and salvation bud forth; let justice also spring up! I, the Lord have created this!    Isaiah 45:6-8

Jesus is the Light of the World. He shines light into the darkness. Have you ever experienced the wonder and awe of seeing Christmas lights with a little child?  The excitement is palpable. Jesus is coming as a little baby and He wants to shine His light upon you.  He wants you to see Him through the eyes of a little child.

Jesus shines light into the darkness and the darkness scatters. Do you have any areas of your life that you keep hidden from Jesus? Do not be afraid. Ask Jesus to make your heart a manger where you can welcome Him. Come to Him with the darkness and let Him shine His light and love upon you.

For my house will be a house of prayer for all people.  Isaiah 56:7

Meditation:
Come and and gaze upon the manger with the expectant hope of a little child. Ask the Baby Jesus to prepare your heart that you may see Him with the eyes of a child. Ask Him to make all things new in you that you will receive His love and peace. The Baby Jesus is coming for you. Let Him in. He is gazing upon you and shining His Light into your heart. He is showering you with dew from above, the dew of grace which is gently falling on you. He is holding you safely in His tender embrace. Welcome Him into the manger of your heart where He scatters the darkness and shines His beautiful light.

Turn to Me and be safe, all you ends of the earth, for I am God, there is no other!  Isaiah 45:22
