Reflection: From the crib to the Cross...

In the midst of Holy Week, we enter into the Sacred Triduum tomorrow, We entrust all the names we have received through this prayer ministry to Our Blessed Mother Mary and ask her to bring them to her Beloved Son Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.

On the joyous day of the Presentation when Joseph and Mary brought the Baby Jesus to the temple, she knew sorrow was to come through the words of Simeon. when he said to Mary, 

"And you yourself a sword will pierce so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed." Luke 2:34-35

This Holy Week, we recall Mary, standing at the Foot of the Cross with Jesus's beloved disciple John:

"Standing by the Cross of Jesus were His Mother and His Mother's sister, Mary, the wife of Clopas and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw His Mother and the disciple whom He loved, He said to Hia Mother, 'Woman, behold, your son.' Then He said to the disciple, 'Behold, your Mother,' And from that hour, the disciple took her into his home."  John 19:25-27
