Reflection: Lord, I am not worthy to have You enter under my roof...

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached Him and appealed to Him, saying, "Lord my servant is lying at home, paralyzed, suffering dreadfully." He said to him, "I will come and cure him." The centurion said in reply, "Lord, I am not worthy to have You enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed."  Matthew 8:5-8

The centurion had great trust in Jesus. He had hope and trust in Jesus. Jesus was amazed at his faith...

And Jesus said to the centurion, "You may go; as you have believed, let it be done for you." And at that very hour, his servant was healed.  Matthew 8:13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

How can you have trust and faith like the centurion?

Surrender to the Lord
Die to self
Be open to the Holy Spirit
Call out to God in prayer
Avoid sin and temptations
Put God in the center of your life
Read and meditate on Scripture
Receive the Sacraments frequently
Spend time daily in silence with the Lord

Trust in the Lord and do good...Psalm 37:3
