In the Gospel John 11:45-48, after Jesus had raised his friend Lazarus from the dead, many of the Jews came to Mary, the sister of Lazarus.
"Now many of the Jews who had come to Mary and seen what He had done began to believe in Him. But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said, 'What are we going to do? This man is performing many signs if we leave Him alone, all will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our land and our nation.'"
At morning Mass today, my pastor said we have been listening to the words of Jesus and watching all the miracles and signs He has been performing during these 40 days of Lent. As we approach Holy Week, he said we must ask ourselves,
"What are we going to do?"
My pastor said this what you are going to do:
Make a good confession. Take part and enter into all the Masses and services during this sacred Holy Week. Spend time in Eucharistic adoration in intimate conversation with God. Invite Our Lady to accompany you in prayer and the Rosary.
You know what to do. Ask Jesus and Mary to help you do what they want you to do.
