A Model of Humility
On December 9, 1531, Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego at Tepeyac, which is near Mexico City today. She sent him to request of Bishop Zumárraga the building of a shrine there, where she promised to pour out her grace upon those who invoked her. The bishop asked Juan Diego to present proof of the apparition. On December 12, Our Lady sent Juan Diego to gather roses atop the hill at Tepeyac. Despite the cold of winter, he found roses in bloom and gathered them within his cloak, or tilma. Our Lady arranged the roses and sent them with Juan Diego to the bishop as proof. Opening his tilma, the roses fell to the ground and there remained impressed upon the tilma the image of Our Lady, the apparition at Tepeyac. With the grace of enlightenment, Juan Diego dedicated himself to prayer, as well as the practice of virtue and boundless love of God and neighbor.
Blessed Virgin Mary talked to him in his language, Nahuatl. She called him "Juanito, Juan Dieguito," "the most humble of my sons," "my son the least," "my little dear." Juan Diego said to the Blessed Virgin Mary: "I am a nobody, I am a small rope, a tiny ladder, the tail end, a leaf."
After the miracle of Guadalupe and with the Bishop's permission, Juan Diego moved to a room attached to the chapel that housed the sacred image, after having given his business and property to his uncle, spending the rest of his life as a hermit. There he cared for the church and the first pilgrims who came to pray to the Mother of Jesus, and propagating the account of the apparitions to his countrymen. He was 57 years old when Our Lady appreared to him, an old age in a time and place where the male life expectancy was barely above 40. He died on May 30, 1548, at the age of 74.
Juan Diego deeply loved the Holy Eucharist, and by special permission of the Bishop he received Holy Communion three times a week, a highly unusual occurrence during those times. Pope John Paul II praised Juan Diego for his simple faith nourished by catechesis and pictured him as a model of humility for all of us.

You who were chosen by Our Lady of Guadalupe as an instrument to show your people and the world that the way of Christianity is one of love, compassion, understanding, values, sacrifices, repentance of our sins, appreciation and respect for God’s creation, and most of all one of humility and obedience; You whom we know is now in the Kingdom of the Lord and close to our Mother; Be our angel and protect us, stay with us as we struggle in this modern life often not knowing where to set our priorities; Help us to pray to our God to obtain the gifts of the Holy Spirit and use them for the good of humanity and the good of our Church, through the Heart of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Heart of Jesus. Amen
Our Lady of Guadalupe spoke these words to Juan Diego. She speaks these words to us.
Am I not here, who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not the fountain of your joy? Are you not in the fold of my mantle, in the cradle of my arms?

The John 10:10 Prayer Ministry for Families began on May 1, 2010
How this prayer ministry began...
The prayers for this ministry began in May 2006, praying for an unborn baby, Lily Grace. There were medical problems with the baby and we began praying the Novena to Saint Anne that "Lily Grace would have abundant life." Through the intercession of Saint Anne, mother of our Blessed Mother Mary and grandmother of Jesus, Lily Grace was born with Down syndrome in November 2006. She needed open heart surgery when she was three months old. She was born with only two chambers in her heart. Four chambers are needed. Doctors placed a tiny plastic wall between each chamber, making two chambers into four. They literally created a new heart in her. She is a little miracle and she radiates love to all who meet her. We give thanks for all the prayers for this precious little baby.
As we have prayed each day, we have received other names to include in our prayers to Saint Anne and Our Blessed Mother Mary. We have thousands upon thousands of names to pray for now. We pray the Memorare for families, for priests, seminarians, deacons and vocations to the religious life which are born and nurtured in families. We pray for the sanctity of life and marriage, for the unborn, babies and children who are healthy, sick or disabled, pregnant women, couples who are trying to conceive a baby or adopt a baby, mothers who have had miscarriages, parents who have suffered the death of a baby or a child, parents who have had an abortion, parents who have considered having one and for all souls wounded by abortion, parents who are struggling to accept their disabled child, as well as parents who embrace their disabled child and see in that child, the beauty that was created by God.

Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, we fly to you, O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother. To you we come, before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer them. Amen.

5th Anniversary of the John 10:10 Prayer Ministry May 1, 2015
In Thanksgiving for the Mass celebrated on May 10, 2015 for the 5th anniversary in the Oratory at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA by the Rector of the Shrine, Fr. Anthony Gramlich MIC. After Mass, everyone had lunch together with an opportunity for sharing. Then we walked to the Shrine of the Holy Innocents, a sacred place of healing where families who have lost babies or children can have a memorial in their honor. At the center of the Shrine is Our Lady of Guadalupe. Fr. Anthony led the Rosary for the John 10:10 intentions and prayer partners and he prayed the Prayer of Entrustment to Mary of the John 10:10 Prayer Ministry.
In Thanksgiving for the Mass celebrated on May 9, 2015 for the 5th anniversary in Saint Joseph Chapel at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Dedham, MA by Pastor Fr. William Kelly STD. After Mass, there was reception with a time for refreshments and sharing with one another.

Thanks be to God for the Healing Mass celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church 420 High Street Dedham, MA 02026
The Healing Mass was for parents and family members who have lost a child through miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, infantile death, violence, accident, infertility, disability or illness of a baby or child. It included a powerful testimony from Linda Santo, mother of Little Audrey Santo, with a special anointing with Little Audrey's miraculous holy oil. Following the Mass, there was a Eucharistic Healing Service, ending with Benediction. Fellowship and refreshments followed. The celebrant and homilist was Fr. Anthony Gramlich, MIC, from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Fr. Anthony was inspired to celebrate this Healing Mass, praying for all the intentions we receive. On his way to the Mass, there were many downpours of rain. As Fr. Anthony drove off the Mass Pike, the rain stopped and there was a beautiful rainbow across the sky. Fr. Anthony said that rainbow was a sign of hope for this event. He said that there were many healings that night. Thanks be to Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary.

God, who created man in Your image and intended him to share Your Glory, we thank You for having granted to Your Church the gift of Professor Jerome Lejeune, a distinguished Servant of Life. He knew how to place his immense intelligence and deep faith at the service of the defense of human life especially unborn life, always seeking to treat and cure. A passionate witness to truth and charity, he knew how to reconcile faith and reason in the sight of today's world. By his intercession, and according to Your will, we ask You to grant us the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon become one of Your saints. Amen.
