Today is the feast day of The Guardian Angels. Every person on earth has a guardian angel who watches over him and helps him to attain his salvation beginning at the moment of birth. Prior to this, the child is protected by the mother's guardian angel. It continues throughout our whole life and ceases at the moment of death. Our guardian angel accompanies the soul to purgatory or heaven, and becomes our coheir in the heavenly kingdom.
“Dear friends, the Lord is always near and active in human history, and follows us with the unique presence of His angels, that today the Church venerates as 'Guardian,' in other words those who minister God's care for every man. From the beginning until death,” he said, “human life is surrounded by their constant protection.” Pope Benedict XVI
The Pope's comments come on the Feast of the Guardian Angels, a day celebrating the Catholic Church's teaching that each person is assigned an angel to help protect and guide them through life. It was Pope Clement X who first extended the feast day to the entire Church in the early 17th century.
Guardian Angels are servants and messengers from God. "Angel" in Greek means messenger. In unseen ways, the angels help us on our earthly pilgrimage by assisting us in work and study, helping us in temptation and protecting us from physical danger.
See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.

The idea that each soul has assigned to it a personal guardian angel has been long accepted by the Church and is a truth of our faith. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that "the existence of the spiritual, non-corporeal beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls 'angels' is a truth of faith (328)." From our birth until our death, man is surrounded by the protection and intercession of angels, particularly our guardian angel. Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.
There have been many times in my life when I have felt the presence of my guardian angel's protection. There have been many times when I have felt the presence of the guardian angels of my loved ones. This prayer ministry began through prayers for a precious little baby, Lily Grace. When she needed heart surgery as an infant, I believe Our Blessed Mother was standing with her, surrounded by angels. This comforted me knowing she had Lily Grace under her loving protection.
"Brethren, we will love God's angels with a most affectionate love; for they will be our heavenly co-heirs some day, these spirits who now are sent by the Father to be our protectors and our guides. With such bodyguards, what are we to fear? They can neither be subdued nor deceived; nor is there any possibility at all that they should go astray who are to guard us in all our ways. They are trustworthy, they are intelligent, they are strong — why, then, do we tremble? We need only to follow them, remain close to them, and we will dwell in the protection of the Most High God. So as often as you sense the approach of any grave temptation or some crushing sorrow hangs over you, invoke your protector, your leader, your helper in every situation. The John 10:10 Prayer Ministry for Families began on May 1, 2010
How this prayer ministry began...
The prayers for this ministry began in May 2006, praying for an unborn baby, Lily Grace. There were medical problems with the baby and we began praying the Novena to Saint Anne that "Lily Grace would have abundant life." Through the intercession of Saint Anne, mother of our Blessed Mother Mary and grandmother of Jesus, Lily Grace was born with Down syndrome in November 2006. She needed open heart surgery when she was three months old. She was born with only two chambers in her heart. Four chambers are needed. Doctors placed a tiny plastic wall between each chamber, making two chambers into four. They literally created a new heart in her. She is a little miracle and she radiates love to all who meet her. We give thanks for all the prayers for this precious little baby.
As we have prayed each day, we have received other names to include in our prayers to Saint Anne and Our Blessed Mother Mary. We have thousands upon thousands of names to pray for now. We pray the Memorare for families, for priests, seminarians, deacons and vocations to the religious life which are born and nurtured in families. We pray for the sanctity of life and marriage, for the unborn, babies and children who are healthy, sick or disabled, pregnant women, couples who are trying to conceive a baby or adopt a baby, mothers who have had miscarriages, parents who have suffered the death of a baby or a child, parents who have had an abortion, parents who have considered having one and for all souls wounded by abortion, parents who are struggling to accept their disabled child, as well as parents who embrace their disabled child and see in that child, the beauty that was created by God.

5th Anniversary of the John 10:10 Prayer Ministry May 1, 2015
In Thanksgiving for the Mass celebrated on May 10, 2015 for the 5th anniversary in the Oratory at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA by the Rector of the Shrine, Fr. Anthony Gramlich MIC. After Mass, everyone had lunch together with an opportunity for sharing. Then we walked to the Shrine of the Holy Innocents, a sacred place of healing where families who have lost babies or children can have a memorial in their honor. At the center of the Shrine is Our Lady of Guadalupe. Fr. Anthony led the Rosary for the John 10:10 intentions and prayer partners and he prayed the Prayer of Entrustment to Mary of the John 10:10 Prayer Ministry.
In Thanksgiving for the Mass celebrated on May 9, 2015 for the 5th anniversary in Saint Joseph Chapel at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Dedham, MA by Pastor Fr. William Kelly STD. After Mass, there was reception with a time for refreshments and sharing with one another.

Thanks be to God for the Healing Mass celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church 420 High Street Dedham, MA 02026
The Healing Mass was for parents and family members who have lost a child through miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, infantile death, violence, accident, infertility, disability or illness of a baby or child. It included a powerful testimony from Linda Santo, mother of Little Audrey Santo, with a special anointing with Little Audrey's miraculous holy oil. Following the Mass, there was a Eucharistic Healing Service, ending with Benediction. Fellowship and refreshments followed. The celebrant and homilist was Fr. Anthony Gramlich, MIC, from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Fr. Anthony was inspired to celebrate this Healing Mass, praying for all the intentions we receive. On his way to the Mass, there were many downpours of rain. As Fr. Anthony drove off the Mass Pike, the rain stopped and there was a beautiful rainbow across the sky. Fr. Anthony said that rainbow was a sign of hope for this event. He said that there were many healings that night. Thanks be to Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary.

A passionate witness to truth and charity, he knew how to reconcile faith and reason in the sight of today's world. By his intercession, and according to Your will, we ask You to grant us the graces we implore, hoping that he will soon become one of Your saints. Amen.
